Assessment Summary

EDI: Treasury declared on its digital strategy page that it had completed its EDI on November 30, 2014. Bureau representation is high, but there is potential room for growth in program representation.

Public Engagement: Treasury provides an email address for feedback, but there is no public evidence of two-way communication.

Use & Impact: Treasury provided more than the 5 users requested, but the qualitative responses could use more detail from more bureaus within the Department, especially in the questions about usability and new data sets.

Identify: The data set for public publication will be identified based on inputs from the data owner community and the data consumer community. Engaging with the data consumer (also referred to as the customer) using the process outlined in the “Customer Engagement Process” section helps to determine the data sets and the fields that comprise the data set.
Review: The data set must be reviewed by relevant officials from:Business Data Owner and System Owner, Office of Privacy and General Counsel, Security
Publish: Create metadata for the data set, provide data context description.
