Assessment Summary

EDI is Red: Defense fails to document any restricted public or non-public datasets. Fails to document APIs.

PDL is Yellow: Defense fails to display or prominently link to display of human-readable datasets on /data page.

Public Engagement is Red: Defense fails to demonstrate an open 2-way feedback mechanism for the public to ask questions or make requests relating to open data. Also, http://data.defense.gov/Contact-Us/ appears to be broken.

Other: Large proportion of download links result in HTML or PDFs. data.defense seems noncompliant with https-only policy https://https.cio.gov/.
